Severus' breathing had changed. Shallow. Quick. And his eyes refused to leave those scars. They would eventually fade, but never completely. Sirius would always bear his marks. Always. That knowledge was more thrilling than anything else. More than that throaty way he said his name. More than the way his long, pale throat was touched.

He needed to see all the scars. Every cut. His fingers trembled as he sought them out. He was a ball of energy.
