Severus nodded quickly. He tried not to panic. What would that do except make it all the worse? He did as he was told, unsteady gaze on Remus's tawny shaded eyes. It took a few moments of rapid breathing and clenching fists to get him to settle down.

The intensity of it fluctuated from piercing to staring before Severus calmed noticeable and he was left gazing at the startlingly brilliant hue of his shifting eyes. As the glows of light situated themselves in the air, Remus's eyes seemed to twinkle.

Severus's mind emptied. He was distracted by what he was doing and, with hardly a thought, his ears returned to normal.
