Remus leaned into Severus's hand on his grip, tilting his head. He held onto his sides with a tighter grip. His breath hitched in his throat when he felt how very close the two were.

"I don't care." He said breathless.

Somewhere in the pit of his stomach, the Gryffindor mustered the courage to pull him closer. He leaned in and kissed him softly - finally admitting to himself what he was feeling and letting himself indulge just this once. He only hoped he didn't get rejected; he couldn't take the pain.
