Severus stood. He made all of the first moves. He orchestrated their connections and reconnections. Remus was waiting for him. Standing up, Severus climbed the teirs towards Remus's desk, leaned on the thick wood surface, and gently butted his forehead against Remus's before he wrapped his fingers in his robes.
It was a good enough start, though the way Remus smelled -- it was everywhere, in his nose, in his blood left Severus breathless. Needy. He almost drew back in fright.
