Remus held it in his hands for a very long time. He even fell asleep with it. He kept Dumbedore's words at the forefront of his mind, but he didn't know what to do with them. He fell asleep in the Infirmary and was allowed to leave the next morning, though restricted to bed rest for the weekend.

But what sort of Marauder would he be if he listened to that. He knew he may have a few hours with Severus that morning, if the other would cut class with him. The Marauders wouldn't know he was released until after lunch when they had a free period, so it gave them some time.
